How to adopt an animal

Thank you for considering a homeless pet for adoption. All of our animals are strays or owner surrenders. These precious friends will need a lifetime of care and attention. For most of them it is their second or third time at a forever home. Please understand the seriousness of adopting an abandoned, abused or lonely pet. The chance for a new start at life is an exciting one for them so be patient and particular about whom you choose to adopt. They will all be grateful. None of the animals have asked to be here but they are all asking to go home.

You will need to come to our shelter located at 594 Cook Road in Crossville TN. You can look at all of the animals currently available for adoption or meet the animal you have seen here on the web site. If you locate an animal that you want to adopt into your home; you will be asked to fill out an adoption form and tell us how you intend to care for that animal.

The cost of adopting an animal is $75.00 for a female cat and $65.00 for a male cat. The cost of adopting a female dog is $85.00 and for a male dog it is $75.00. If you decide on a second animal at the same time, there will be a discount on the second one -- ask our staff.  The fee includes the adoption fee, spay/neuter of adopted pet, distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine (3 months or older), heartworm test (dogs 6 months and older), feline leukemia/FIV test (cats), de-wormer, and a dose of Frontline.  There may also be special promotional offerings available such as older dogs, barn cats or special needs animals.

The adoption agreement contains other conditions that will let us know that you are going to provide your new pet with a safe and loving home. If you have additional questions please call: (931) 484-9700

We are now open 7 days a week 11 am - 5 pm
